I'm going to start off this journal entry with my question. Patent leather; Yay or nay?
I've wanted ballet boots for the longest time. They are so amazingly sexy! A friend of mine just linked me to a couple pages selling ballet boots for what I feel is a pretty darn reasonable price.
Now I'm just stuck with a choice. Do I get the shiny, sleek patent leather or the regular leather.
These boots would be used for photoshoots only, which make the pros and cons all the more difficult to weigh.
The patent leather boots are the ones I see in every image when I search 'ballet boots.' They're also cheaper then the regular leather.
The regular leather I can see being easier to photograph (no gloss, and shine to deal with), and I think they would be easier to use with more outfits.
